Answers to the questions we hear most often — in plain language.
No. Most people transitioned automatically. Your funding was converted to the closest Support at Home classification and any unspent funds carried over. You only need a new assessment if your needs have changed significantly.
Clinical services are free. For Independence and Everyday Living services, contributions depend on your pension status and an income and assets assessment by Services Australia. Full pensioners typically pay around 5% for Independence and 17.5% for Everyday Living. There is a lifetime contribution cap of around $135,000. At Comfy HomeCare, we optimise your services and find ways to minimise your contribution based on your financial situation — come and talk to our team to see how you can receive the maximum benefit with the minimum out-of-pocket cost.

You can request a reassessment through My Aged Care. If approved, your classification and budget can be increased. Short-term pathways are also available for recovery after hospital or for end-of-life support.
We match you carefully and aim for consistency. Depending on the management model you choose, you may have more or less direct say in who visits. Talk to us about the level of involvement you prefer.

These are usually funded separately through the Assistive Technology and Home Modifications (AT-HM) scheme, so you do not have to use your regular quarterly budget for approved items. We can help coordinate assessments and applications.
