Why families choose us

Our case managers and intake managers are based in Brisbane and work across Queensland, so your family is looked after by a local team. They know the local hospitals, the GPs and the My Aged Care process, and they stay with you from the first call through to ongoing care. Support workers come to you at home.

We keep administration lean, so more of your Support at Home funding goes into actual services and care hours rather than overheads. You always know what is available in your budget, what each service costs, and exactly how your funding is being used.

We match you with regular support workers and keep changes to a minimum, so genuine relationships can grow. Our care managers and support workers speak Mandarin, Cantonese and English, so assessments, care plans and daily conversations are never lost in translation. Choose full care management, or take a more hands-on role — whichever suits your family best.

Prices and funding

Our prices are all-inclusive — administration, coordination, wages, insurance and tax are already included, with no extra fees. Care management is capped at 10% of your quarterly budget, and clinical supports such as nursing and allied health carry no participant contribution at all.

Our services

Under Support at Home, services fall into three official categories. We deliver all of them.

  • Clinical supports — 100% government-funded. Nursing care and clinical observations, medication management and administration, allied health including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, dietetics, speech pathology and psychology, plus wound care and chronic disease support.
  • Independence supports — a small contribution may apply. Personal care including showering, dressing and grooming, mobility assistance and transfers, transport to appointments and activities, social support and community participation, respite care, and overnight or 24-hour support when needed.
  • Everyday living — a contribution may apply. Domestic assistance including cleaning, laundry and bed making, meal preparation and nutrition support, shopping assistance, gardening and lawn mowing, light home maintenance and home safety checks.
  • Plus, when they are needed. Assistive Technology and Home Modifications (AT-HM), the Restorative Care Pathway after a hospital stay, and the End-of-Life Pathway.

How it works

Four steps from your first call to your first visit.

  1. 1. Get assessed. Contact My Aged Care on 1800 200 422. Our Brisbane intake team can help you prepare for the call.
  2. 2. Receive your funding. You are given a classification level and a quarterly budget.
  3. 3. Choose Comfy HomeCare. Or switch from your current provider — our Brisbane case managers coordinate the handover so there are no gaps in your care.
  4. 4. Start receiving support. We build your plan together and begin services that match your goals and your budget.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a new assessment if I already had a Home Care Package?

No. Most people were moved across to Support at Home automatically, and unused funds usually transfer. You only need a new assessment if your needs have clearly changed.

How much will I pay myself?

Clinical services such as nursing and allied health have no participant contribution. For other services it depends on your situation. Book a time and we will work with you to minimise your contribution and make the most of your funding.

Can I change providers?

Yes, at any time, with no exit fee. Your funding — including unused amounts — moves with you, and our Brisbane team handles the handover.

What if my needs increase?

Ask My Aged Care for a reassessment. There are also short-term pathways such as Restorative Care after a hospital stay, for up to 16 weeks, and End-of-Life support.

Are cleaning and gardening included?

Yes. These are Everyday Living supports and can go into your care plan within your budget and contribution rules.

What about equipment or bathroom modifications?

Wheelchairs, rails and bathroom modifications are usually arranged through Assistive Technology and Home Modifications funding, which is separate from your quarterly budget.

Do you have staff in Queensland?

Yes. Our case managers and intake managers are based in Brisbane and work across greater Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Support workers visit you at home, and we speak Mandarin, Cantonese and English.
